These terms govern your use of the TalkPass mobile app and Progressive Web App (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
TalkPass provides real-time speech translation between two people speaking different languages. The Service relies on third-party speech-to-text, translation, and text-to-speech providers. We do our best to keep translations accurate, but automated translation is inherently imperfect — please do not rely on it for safety-critical, legal, or medical decisions without independent verification.
To use the Service you must sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/EEA) to create an account.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete my account and data. Deletion is irreversible.
TalkPass offers paid subscription tiers (Standard and Pro, monthly and annual) and one-time consumable "top-up" packs (Translate Pack and Pro Pack). All purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). Pricing, currency conversion, and billing are handled by the relevant store.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
If you opt into voice cloning, you grant TalkPass and our voice-synthesis providers (currently Cartesia and Fish Audio) a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process your voice sample for the sole purpose of generating a synthetic voice model that you control. The model is used only to speak text YOU dictate through the app. We do not train general AI models on your voice. You can delete the model at any time via account deletion or by re-recording.
You retain all rights to the audio, transcripts, and translations you produce through the Service. We process them only as necessary to deliver the Service to you.
We try to keep TalkPass available 24/7 but do not guarantee uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, third-party provider outages, or events beyond our control. Subscription periods are not extended for outages of less than 24 hours.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that translations will be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. Automated translation can produce errors, particularly with technical terminology, slang, names, or speech in noisy environments. You assume all risk for decisions made based on Service output.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TalkPass's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of subscription fees already paid for the current billing period unless required by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app before they take effect; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction grants you the right to sue locally.
